Why use Done Renovations before calling a
General contractor

Are you tired of dealing with the drawbacks of hiring a general contractor for your renovation project?
At Done Renovations, we offer you a better alternative. Here is why you should consider us over a general contractor

Cost Management

Hiring a general contractor usually incurs extra costs, including service fees and possible markups on subcontractor bids, materials, and other expenses, raising the project’s overall cost.

Communication and Coordination

Managing a construction project involves multiple stakeholders like architects, subcontractors, suppliers, and workers. If the general contractor fails in communication and coordination, it may lead to misunderstandings, delays, and errors

Reliance on Contractor's Expertise

Hiring a general contractor means entrusting them with overseeing your project. If they lack experience or expertise or fail to manage subcontractors well, it may lead to poor workmanship, delays, or cost overruns.

Limited Control

Hiring a general contractor involves relinquishing some control over the project, as decision-making rests with them. While they manage daily operations, if you prefer direct control over all aspects, this option might not align with your preferences

Potential for Disputes

Construction projects are complex, with various parties, contracts, and legalities. Conflicts or disputes between the general contractor and subcontractors, suppliers, or other stakeholders can cause delays, increased costs, and legal issues.

Quality Control

General contractors oversee a project’s overall quality, but oversights or subpar work can occur. Failure to enforce quality standards or properly supervise subcontractors may lead to compromised quality and rework

Scheduling Challenges

General contractors often manage multiple projects simultaneously, affecting scheduling and availability. If they are stretched too thin or face delays elsewhere, it may cause scheduling conflicts and delays in your project.
